Our Second Grade, 7 and 8 year old, Wolf Scouts practice respect our outdoor environment through the use of The Outdoor Code and Leave No Trace principles, perform community service, display their communication skills, learn hiking basics, and hone their dexterity with physical challenges. They are given the opportunity to develop an interest in coin collecting, air powered crafts, mathematics, hobbies and collections, understand how disabilities present different daily challenges, archeology, mapmaking and orienteering, microbiology, horticulture, recognizing local everyday heroes, building functional models, practice physical fitness, and develop an understanding of how water is a precious resource.
Our returning Wolf Leader, Jerry Benton is a LIFE Scout and very excited to be involved in Cub Scouts. Since joining, he has received his certification in BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Training) and plans on going to other advanced training seminars. His assistant, Ali Cause-Nance, is a veteran scout leader with one son in Boy Scouts and her younger son joining our pack this year. Providing support is frequent volunteer, Monica Smith, and our Cubmaster, Ken Kasten.
